With all of this sunshine and summer-like atmosphere, transforming the roof deck, aka, Project Urban Oasis, is in full swing.
To that end, yesterday I went to pick up some potting soil and couldn't resist the urge to buy something pretty, too. There were, of course, many candidates. But the hibiscus plants won my heart that day. I chose a color and drove it home, pleased with my selection. Until I had to carry everything up five flights of stairs. Foiled by city living. But my hibiscus rewarded me this morning with two very lovely and brand new blooms. This plant is already making me very happy.
