my favo(u)rite candybar

so today I'm readying myself for adventures Out West + Down Under. right now that mostly means listening to Arcade Fire and poking through my assorted collection of funky cameras to decide which make the cut, i.e.; which ones will be the most fun/least annoying to cart all over Oz. and doing laundry.

but it also included some inadvertent nostalgia. thinking about Australia-friendly mobiles, it seemed the perfect opportunity to pull out my favorite SIM-ready telefonino: my trusty ole' British Sony Ericsson T610. god I loved that phone. it was the perfect marriage of form + function. with ideal candybar proportions and the perfect size for my little girl hands, it's menu was intuitive and the aluminum + glossy black plastic case was oh so über cool.

of course, it's not a "smart phone" but I kind of don't care. my partner in crime will have resurrected the old blackberry for any "smart" purposes. I'm excited to be reunited with my favorite candybar, if temporarily.
