it's the 14th of July
no, that's not the Eiffel Tower.
after being pounded with unrelenting humidity + thunderstorms for the last week, we've been rewarded with an incredibly lovely day today. so I'm working from the roof deck, which means I'm constantly distracted by the warm sunshine + cool breeze, and staring straight at what I refer to as "the poor man's Eiffel Tower" (see above). it's some sort of radio tower but has a pleasing, if familiar, shape. how fitting, as today is La Fête Nationale, the day to celebrate all things French. which got me thinking...
lovely. and then I was reminded of the teenage transgression that was 90210 and the très French episodes where Brenda + Donna went to Paris et Shannen Doherty embarrassingly pretended to be French. oh mon dieu!
as a palate cleanser, I will leave you with this utterly American classic...
c'est si bon!
